The client has been working his way up the ranks in QLD Police and is looking to take the next step into an Inspector position. Engaging the client in a discussion regarding times when he felt he had met the above criteria, I was able to draw out information which demonstrated that he could provide examples against each criterion. Teasing out the details of a clear Situation, Task, Action and Result for each example allowed me to provide clear evidence that he could fulfil the duties of the role. Putting together a draft for the client, I contacted him once more to clarify some details in regards to police jargon which I felt would strengthen the document, and after a short discussion I was able to present a strong Key Selection Criteria which I am confident demonstrates the client’s ability to excel in the desired role.
